Protein Christmas Cake Pops

Ingredients

  • 40g (4 yellow scoops) of protein powder
  • Zest of half an orange
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup dates
  • 3tbs almond butter
  • 150g flaxseed
  • 2 tbs raisins/sultanas/cherries
  • handful chopped blanched almonds
  • cocoa for rolling

Method

  • 1. Put all ingredients (except the cocoa) into a bowl and mix well until it comes together in a sticky mixture
  • 2. Use your hands to roll the mixture into small lollipop sized balls
  • 3. Roll these in cocoa powder to coat them and then lay on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper
  • 4. Use wooden sticks or half straws to push inside the middle of the balls to create your cake pops
  • 5. Pop in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up & enjoy!
